Divine Intervention:
A Meditation

Divine intervention is
         a rainbow after the rain,
         a crown of glory above Sunrise Mountain at dawn,
         a mourning dove in autumn,
         a nightingale in spring,
         the peace of meditation,
         the silence at midnight,
         walking along a beach and finding a starfish,
         the purr of a cat,
         the bark of a dog,
         lightning on a clear day,
         never encountering a stop light at rush hour,
         rain from the blue sky,
         snow on an active volcano,
         and a double rainbow.
