Bricks In The Fireplace, Family Traditions

Prompt: On the TV Show "Heartland", the family members each have a brick in the fireplace that is theirs. Each family members gets to pick out their own brick. Do you have any traditions like this in your family?

No but I wish my family did. My parents have a fireplace but we never chose bricks for family members. Maybe we should start this tradition. Great Grandma bought me a special doll but I could only play with it at her house. My mother and grandmother had pictures on the wall of all the family members. Grandpa put my little story books on top of the piano when I was a little girl and these were my books only. Great Grandma saved the oil paintings I painted for her of animals.

My Grandma had a grandmother's charm bracelet of silhouette heads with all the granddaughters names on them. She also had a grandmother's ring with our birthstones. These were really special.

I scrapbook pictures of family members. This is a good way to keep track of family. I guess this is about it for our family with special memories. I cherish what we have saved over the years.
