Day 11: Toad The Wet Sprocket - Windmills

This is one of my quiet reflection music pieces. It's perfect for a Monday morning. I like to try and figure out what to do with the week, but also to remember it's not all up to me. So times, it's wherever the wind blows.

The Quixotic reference is wonderful, but then, Toad has almost always put together lyrics that kind of blow me away. I was once listening to Nanci, and I said to my soon to be wife, "Who the hell writes lyrics with someone bending their words like Uri Geller's spoons?!" She replied. "You would." She was half right. I'm not sure if I'd have come up with that nugget, but I like to think I'm clever. So it might be the kind of thing I'd write, if lyrics were actually my thing.

Perhaps why I like the band as much as I do. The music calms me, but the songwriting absolutely keeps me on my toes. Who would want to miss such magical lines?
