Vacay a Bust
I talked with Hubby and we determined this vacay is a bust. Fortunately my tickets to Lexington and the aquarium are good until the end of March so I'll make a day trip once I feel better. On top of it, I may end up not being able to see Libby for her birthday. We back tracked and think I possibly caught the nasty bug in HEB pharmacy when I went to pick up my RX for my anti-depressant (and if that's not an irony I don't know what is). So it's likely I would have gotten sick that day regardless.

Because I just finished getting over severe bronchitis in late January and this is a mutant strain, it may take me up to 30 days to get better physically. I'm weak as a kitten but can't eat. The more I try to sleep, the more I cough. I'm going to go to my PCP on Monday for a follow up and see if there's anything else they can give me. There has to be a reason my poor lungs CRACKLE when I breathe and I sound like a seventy year old smoker wheezing with every breath. My chest is tight and I feel I've strained my chest wall coughing. I threw up last night for the first time, which caused me to lose all my meds. So I'm steadily taking them as individual pills with small amounts of food in the hopes that doesn't happen again (it was unpleasant, but probably goes without saying).

Robert is gearing up to try and get back into the work field. I'm so grateful for that. So far this year I've been sick more than I've been well. Had it not been for the truck, the tax refund, a loan, and the potential sale of our male Westie, we would have been homeless. As of today, March's rent is paid, both vehicles are caught up ($2K - ouch!) and everything except the cell phones are paid up. I need to get well in a hurry or we WILL be homeless. I've got no more aces left to play. I think once he finds something he'll start to pull out of the depression somewhat. We'll try it for 30 days and if needed we can appeal his SSDI if it doesn't work.

I look forward to the day when I don't have to worry every day about a vehicle being repossessed or being homeless. Unfortunately, my next concern may end up being the facility trying to discharge Libby on March 15.
