The Woman Who Knew To Much!
March 21, 2019

My age would give me away as to what I loved about TV when I watched it in the 60s. What's My Line was a favorite. Interesting people from all walks of life were on the show and a panel had to guess what occupation these people held. The panel, were usually consistent but occasionally they had one different person on the panel, usually a well know actor or celebrity of some sort. One regular that stood out was Dorothy Kilgallen. Dorothy was a well know reporter, I mean, many know who she was and she was well respected by many. She had covered some of the top criminal cases ever held, such as The Sam Shepard case and had interviewed Jack Ruby, the only one to do so. So, when I found out that Dorothy was found dead and many thought it was murder, it really caught my eye.

Recently, I ran across a video about Dorothy's life and death. I learned in this video that the man being interviewed (Mark Shaw) wrote a book about it and, for myself, I am going to track down the story so I can read it. It is called, "The Reporter Who Knew To Much". If any of you are interested in the video, I will place a link below.

One other interesting factor is that Dorothy personally knew John F. Kennedy. He had visited at Dorothy's home and had made a strong impression on her and her son and when Dorothy had heard that JFK was shot and died, she vowed to find out the truth. Most likely, the truth got her killed.

Hope you enjoyed the post!
