like a baby

when I said:
I slept like a baby,
I meant--
waking every two hours
through the night,
whimpering.

I haven't been sleeping well, but mostly this came because whenever I hear someone say they slept like a baby, I think about the babies I know and the newborns and know there are people who never slept through the night, because they get about an hour and a half of deep sleep at a time and then . . . up again.
