You can learn a lot about a person when you clean their house. |
Yeah, so it's been about four months since my last confession and I've learned a few things: 1) I suck when it comes to putting my great ideas into action. 2) Sometimes I'm not sure my ideas are that great to begin with. 3) People change every seven minutes so I should probably cut them some slack sometimes. Truthfully there's other stuff I could add to this list, but you know, rule of threes. Now granted, careful reflection doesn't always an interesting blog entry make, so maybe it is sometimes better to write about something when it's still gnawing at you. Conflict, drama, passion, all that good stuff is what we all love to read about, but it's pretty rare in my actual life. For this I'm thankful. Also for this, I usually stick to fiction. My last entry forever ago had me painting my friend (and...boss? The verdict is still out on that one...) as an insensitive slave driver, but to be totally honest, she was having a moment. Maybe I was as well. In the meantime, she's turned this little thing we're doing into a bona fide business, and fortunately, the only people we work with are our friends. I love that, and it's one of the main reasons I'm sticking around for a while. That, and the pay is really good. And the hours are great. So yeah, there are a few good reasons to stay. I've picked up a new house or two and dropped a house or two in the process of this interesting little journey. It's nice to switch things up like that. Unfortunately, my own poor house remains neglected. -TPB |
