Next Task: Examine an old adage
Time heals all wounds.
An apple a day keeps the doctor away.
Waste not, want not.
etc.

Our task is to choose one of these old bits of wisdom and examine it. Either defend it or tear it apart. As soon as I read the assignment, I knew which one I'd pick. It's one that I hear often, especially as a Christian:

God will not give you more than you can handle.

This is not true, and I will use the Bible to prove it.
