Perverted Power Genre of the Week Goth or Dark Poetry

Perverted Power

A fixed granite heart,
ground and polished slick
and slippery
by indulgence,
greed, and narcissism,
has no care for caged children
or the choice of insulin
over groceries.

It fosters fear
of divergent colors and faiths,
and feeds on the bloodied
downtrodden,
crushing
them deeper into distress
to elevate a gilded throne
upon which to spread
a pampered, blubbered butt.

Sorry, this was intended to be dark and eerie but by the 4th line took on a life of its own and developed into a rant.
