Some of the messengers that we know about are Abraham, Moses, Krishna, Buddha, Zoroaster, Christ, Muhammad, the Bab, and Baha'u'llah."

          ...that my Bank of America checking account is not overdrawn this morning.
          ...for Hershey's chocolate syrup because I can use it to make cafe mocha.
          ...that I have $18.78 in my Vindale Research account.
          ...for the doughnuts I have to go with my morning coffee.
          ...that I have 898 points in my Survey Junkie account.
          ...for fresh brewed coffee from a drip coffeemaker.
          ...that I have 926,917 GPs in my Gift Points account.

Jonah Inside the Belly of the Whale1

Averse
to obey God's command
darkness envelop

the being
swallowed by the leviathan
of self.

Stomach acids digest
self's outer layer,
leave,

the inner kernel
on its knees
begging for salvation.
