Beacons1

Stars twinkle,
glittering diamonds
in a black velvet sky.

Planet burn holes
in the ebony blanket of night.

planes fly
across the firmament,
their precious gem lights
beacons guiding the mind
to a conclusion.

Each item
has a specific attribute
identifying it to the observer.

Each is a beacon
to the poet's muse.

Gratitude List For 5 Rahmat

Today I am thankful ...
          ...that I have 741 points in my Survey Junkie account.
          ...for the banana I had for my first breakfast.
          ...that my bank of America checking account is not overdrawn today
          ...for the pleasant morning because I could leave the door open for some fresh air.
          ...that "Flash of Inspiration"  won first place in "Invalid Item"  contest.
