Remark Overheard in a Restaurant

Below all of our diversities:
across the patriotism of nations,
beyond the loyalty of religions,
outside the divergence of languages,
beneath the passions of gender,
and inside the variations of skin tone
on the core of our genome
is the double helix
of our unity.

I wrote this in 159 B.E. (August 2002 A.D.). The woman who said this was in a Marie Calendar's Restaurant talking to a companion. Her voice was very loud.
