Meditation on Splendor:
To the Bab

"O hour of the Dawn! Ere the resplendent glory of the divine Luminary sheddeth its radiance from the Dayspring of this Gate, call thou to mind that the appointed Day of God will indeed be at hand in less than the twinkling of an eye. Thus hath the decree of God been issued in the Mother Book."

The Bab1

He was the first rays of morning
Turning the eastern sky white
And announcing the Day of God.

He was the bright glory of dawn,
Whose splendor ignited the clouds
With the scarlet hue of God's love,

He was the mirror reflecting
The light of the Holy Spirit
To humanity.

He revealed the excellence
Of all the attributes
Of the Almighty.

This is poem 44 of the 200 I am writing to celebrate the Bicentenary of the Birth of the Bab. Splendor is one of the divine attributes that the Bab, as well as all the Manifestation of God, revealed.
