I Am That Qa'im:
To The Bab

"I AM THAT QÁ'ÍM WHOSE ADVENT YOU HAVE BEEN AWAITING."

I read about the Bab's pilgrimage to Mecca,
and the moment He grabbed ring
to the Ka'bih's door
and three times proclaimed:

"I am that Qa'im whose advent you have been awaiting."

I wonder
how many of those who heard His words
comprehended their meaning,
and understood
that a new day for humanity
had dawned.

I accept the Bab,
as the Gate of God,
and recognize
all the titles that He claimed for Himself
and all those given to Him
by Baha'u'lllah.
