They By Jem
They By Jem

This is for the 48 Challenge Media. A song and video by Jem.

Looks like she is on a space ship wearing a space suit, takes it of and a old fashioned record player is playing in the background. I decided to write a prose about this. Here goes.

I'm sorry she says. Why is she sorry?
Who makes the rules? Them. Why do they make
them, she asks. She keeps saying she is sorry.
She is wearing a space suit, floating around.

She takes off the space suit and gravity causes
her again to float in the air. An old record player
of the 50's is playing an album and I remember these
well. They are making old record players once again.

Now, the woman strips down to her undies and takes off
her clothes. She is covered by snowy images. It looks
like she is on a space ship. Is she headed for the moon
or some planet? Mad at the world or her boyfriend?

Is she an astronaut on a space mission? Did she volunteer
or is this job? Maybe she is leaving to start a new life
on another planet. She is trying to forgot her boyfriend,
the rules on earth and have a new life on Jupiter or something.

She is covered with a sheet, singing she is sorry and
who makes the rules. The lyrics don't change much and
I'm trying to figure what this song is about. An alarm
goes off. She wakes up. A dream? One I don't want!
