Not Too Good for a Saturday
Not Too Good for a Saturday

I only got ten scene paragraphs written yesterday at work for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. But it should have been five, ten, or more than that. After all, it was a Saturday. I don’t understand why I didn’t do more, though. it wasn’t like I was tired. Because I got plenty of sleep last night. So, why didn’t I get more written? I don’t know.

I know that it wasn’t because of work. Because it was a very typical Saturday at work. It wasn’t too busy at work yesterday. In fact, it was one of the slowest. If it wasn’t the slowest one so far this year. And that’s a little bit surprising to me. After all, this time of the year it’s usually very busy where I work.

Maybe it was because of work. Not work itself, but because of the weather. True, the weather was very cold. But it’s supposed to be cold this time of year. No, it was because of the Sun. And that is thanks to work. If I could pull the blinds most of the way down like everyone else, I wouldn’t need to avoid the sun by sitting in the doorway of the restroom. That is where I do my writing too. And that isn’t easy to do. That’s probably part of the reason why I didn’t get too much writing done yesterday. Once again, work is to blame for my lack of writing.

Of course, it’s not just where I am sitting at work that is the reason for my not writing more. It’s also because of getting up for work. Remember a couple of days ago I worked some OT for that day. About thirteen minutes before what was supposed to be the end of my OT something happened that I had to write an Incident Report on. That wasn’t the big problem, though. the big problem now is that I have an orange safety tube that I must remove and replace every time someone wants to leave that place. And of course, I’m the only one who must do it.

Hopefully, today I will do a lot better with my writing. And I might too. After all, I am almost to the end of Act One of my movie Treatment. And that will add about six to ten more scene paragraphs for some of the first ten scenes of Act Two. Unfortunately, they are Establishing Shots. What I am trying to write about is that I should be able to do a lot more scene paragraphs today at work. Maybe even double or more what I did yesterday.
