False assumptions...
There's a laundry list:

1. That I'm "interested" in you. (I'm a flirty personality... just don't take it personally.)
2. That I'm so outgoing that I'm not shy. (Social events intimidate me and I shut up or leave.)
3. That I travel = I have money. *Laugh* (I'm on a limited budget. I do without to travel.)
4. That because I'm highly opinionated I think I'm right. (I know better... I'm not.)
5. That I look good and feel well = I'm doing well. (Depression and Anxiety can be hidden well.)

So much to choose from.

"I'm interested in you"

Maybe ... but I talk to everyone and come off as flirty. Young women especially are wary. I truly am not about to attack you... but explaining puts me at great risk, so I usually don't. It limits my interactions with women in general. Men, on the other hand, are either clueless when I m interested or play along.

I find many people fascinating. Like Elvira (Vercruz/Tulsa) who I met in Costa Rica and again in Oslo. Or Shahrezad (NZ) who I met in Mexico. How about Hiroki (Japan) who I met in Gdansk and Tokyo. Some are married. I just naturally connect with many people.

I AM annoying to some people. But I can be a godsend to introverts as I'll speak first, find ways to connect, and go from there.

But still, that doesn't mean I'm "interested in you" in other ways. Nor should one assume that I'm available.

In Costa Rica I'm very "sexy". People assume that I have money and money = sexy. I get come-ons from men and women of all ages (including those who are married and/or have children). When I get home I find that the "sexy" switch has been turned off.

Ironically, I have more difficulty speaking to you if I'm truly attracted to you.

So many false assumptions...
