One of the Worst Yesterdays that I have Ever Had
One of the Worst Yesterdays that I have Ever Had

Yesterday at work make Wednesdays almost good. It was that bad at work yesterday. But it wasn’t just that it was very, very busy there. Which it was. In fact, it was almost as busy as my Wednesdays are. It’s not quite that bad yet. But it’s got very close to that yesterday. About twice as busy as it usually is on a Thursday. I’m not too surprised about that, though. It is that time of year there.

Almost the second after I started my shift yesterday, I was busy. And for the first six hours of it, I was very busy a lot of the time. True, I wasn’t on my feet most of it like I am on Wednesdays. But I was on them at least double the time than I usually am for a Thursday. As a result, I didn’t get any writing done yesterday.

Being busy at work wasn’t the only thing that stopped me from writing. It wasn’t even the main reason I didn’t do any of it. Well, that isn’t exactly true. They are partially responsible for it. After all, I did have two Incident Reports that I needed to write up. Those IRs bummed me out. And I didn’t feel like writing anything after that.

Of course, the IRs aren’t the only reason I didn’t get any writing written yesterday. They are just the main ones. Another reason was that I was still re-reading my Act Four scene paragraphs for the movie Treatment for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I had almost made my decision about whether I was going to start it all over, re-writing parts of it, or continue where I left off last Sunday when the first IR began.

If it was just the one IR I might not have been as mad as I was when the second one occurred while I was doing the first one. Then again, I probably would have been because of the reason for the first one. They almost hit me again. If that didn’t happen, I most likely wouldn’t have been so angry. After all, the second one wasn’t that bad. It was bad enough for an IR. At least I think that it was. But it wasn’t all that bad.

There is some good news about yesterday. I was about to make my decision about Act Four when the IRs, and anger began. And that decision is to start Act Four all over again. At first, I thought that I would just do a lot of erasing and do part of it. But after re-reading it I decided to just start it from scratch. Most of it will pretty much the same. But even they will be slightly different.

That is what I’m going to be starting to work on today at work. I’m not sure how much of them I will be able to get done. A lot of that depends on how busy it is as work. And if any more IRs need to be written. If it’s anything like yesterday or worse, I probably won’t get too much of it done. Whether I get only a few scene paragraphs are written or a lot of them, I’m going to try to get as many of them as I can do today at work.
