Faith and Certitude!

A Very Unmerry Christmas at Kmart

"Are we all Jazzed?" Brenda Skeen's hair is frayed.
She holds a cup of coffee and some paperwork in the other hand.
"I have your on hands and outs." she passes the paperwork out.
Muzzy looks at his thirty peg items, "You know I have resets."
Brenda sips her coffee, "Clearance the zero outs in the resets."

"Ah, that's going to leave a lot of empty pegs.
Flemming hasn't shipped all the reset items." Muzzy shuffles his papers.
Brenda runs her hand through her hair, "Put the clearance in it."
"I need more man hours. Can I have Timmy?" Muzzy sips his bottled water.
"Yes." Brenda's hair appears to be rising like Jiffy Pop.

Sally interjects, "I need Timmy to move the toolbox display."
"He can do that in 30, then help Muzzy." Brenda's right eye twitches.
Muzzy shuffles through his paperwork, "Where is the Christmas promo?"
Brenda tries to sip her coffee calmly, "This is November."
"Walmart has their Christmas promo up." Muzzy answers.

Brenda sneezes and blows her nose, "This is Kmart."
"I've heard rumors this store is closing," Muzzy remarks.
Brenda blows her nose again, "Were not closing."
She slowly puts her mug of coffee to her lips and sips.
Her eyes lock with Muzzy's eys, "Where did you hear that?"

"On the radio, as I was driving in," Muzzy sips his bottled water.
Brenda sneezes loudly and wipes her nose, "Oh?. Maybe."
"What?" Sally looks startled and crumples her paperwork.
Brenda takes a breath and a sip of her Aroma Joe, "The sales have been low."
"Will we be transferred to another store?" Muzzy queries.
Brenda runs her hand through her fluffy hair, "Maybe."

"Sh*t" Stacy, the Sporting Goods manager, takes his bloodpreasure pill.
"Well, I've got a lot of holes in the seasonal displays in Garden." Muzzy presses on.
"Double up." Brenda states, "Let's get jazzed!"
Brenda's attempt to jazz the managers falls flat.
Muzzy shrugs, "Maybe the Walmart down the street is hiring?"
This was the last Christmas at the Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Kmart.

Reflections~I have a dreadful premonition the brick and mortar store is being fazed out.
