I’m Doing It Again for the Millionth Time

There is still something wrong with my Water Wars Scriptwriting project. And it’s not just that I’m telling this story instead of showing it in my Outlines and Treatments. It’s worse than that. Unfortunately, I didn’t figure out until toward the end of my shift Saturday at work. Even then, I didn’t figure it out until I was on my way home from work that day.

The something that’s wrong with this project isn’t the telling instead of showing. That is still a big problem with me. But my main problem is my scene placements. What I mean by that is that my character scenes aren’t placed into any kind of a pattern. I thought that they were. And they were in some ways. But it was still unfair to my characters in relationship to how many scenes there were between that one and their last one.

I know how this blog entry reads. It’s very confusing to me too. And I’m the one writing it. But I don’t know how else to write it. Maybe someday I will find a way to make it all clear. It’s not going to be this day, though. At least not right now. After I Create my Outlines and Treatments then maybe I will figure out a way to make it even more clear to everyone, including me.

True, the scene placement is different. But it won’t affect the individual storylines, though. They will still be the same. It’s just how I’m going to be telling it that will be different. I mean how I will be showing it. That’s another problem that I have been having with this project. One that I’m going to need to deal with too. But this is my big problem right now.

All-day today I have been working on my newest spreadsheet for this project. But that’s not all that I’m been doing today. It has been a normal first day off from work. My brother and I have been very busy doing things that needed to be done today. True, it wasn’t as bad as it used to be. But it did need to be done. As a result, I haven’t gotten too far on my spreadsheet yet.

My new spreadsheet isn’t the only writing that I have gotten written today, though. I have started writing my last Short Story for the WDC Short Story contest for this month. I haven’t gotten too much of it written so far. But I have started it. I don’t know if I’m going to go back to doing this or continue with my Water Wars spreadsheet after I post this blog entry. But I do plan on doing one of them.
