Birthday Poem1

At 73
I don't want to cut down
a living Christmas Tree.

I want the tree
left in its natural habitat
to release oxygen into the air,
and help fight global warming
and climate change.

          ...for the banana I had for my first breakfast
          ...that I received flowers for my birthday.
          ...for the merit badges I received today,
