This Blog isn't just for my scriptwriting Projects. It's also for my other activities. |
An Unwanted Decision I’m the kind of guy that doesn’t give up. Once I start something, I don’t give up on it until I’m finished with it. Yes, I know that I have done that a lot with my writing. Especially, when it comes to my scriptwriting. But I don’t consider that giving up. I still plan on doing what I have written that I am going to finish. I’m just putting it aside to do something else. A good example of that is my Water Wars scriptwriting project. I have made an unwanted decision about my last WDC Short Story that I have been working on all this month. And I still am going to finish it. But it’s not going to be for this month’s contest. I’m not sure when I will finish it. I don’t think that it’s going to be anytime soon, though. after all, I’m going to concentrate on my scriptwriting in a few days aka next year. I’m not going to be doing any short stories for a long time. Why have I decided to make this unwanted decision? It’s because I have spent almost this whole month on this Short Story. And because of all the other problems that have plagued me during this month I have only written half of it. With only less than three days away until the end of this month and year, there is no way that I’m going to be able to finish it in time. So, I have no choice but to give up on it for now. The biggest drawback of this not being my last WDC Short Story is that the one I wrote for last month is my last one. I didn’t expect to win with this one either. But I thought that I had a better shot at it with “Skiing Home.” Who knows? Maybe in a couple of years or so they will have another contest like this one and I can tweak this story a little to enter it. Another reason why I’m not going to continue with this Short Story is because of how I’m feeling. I’m feeling very tired. And it’s not because of the lack of sleep. I know what it is this time. It’s because it’s cold outside. The rainstorm yesterday didn’t help much either. I planned on working on my WDC Short Story when I came home last night from work. But because of how I felt I went to sleep almost admittedly. Luckily, I set my alarm to get me up so that I could write this blog entry today. And I’m having a lot of trouble doing that. I’m still very weak and tired because of the weather. I don’t know if I’m fighting a cold or not because of all the rain yesterday. But I wouldn’t be surprised if I am. I wanted to write about how great of a day that I had yesterday with my Water Wars scriptwriting project. After all, despite the weather, I got one hundred and twenty-five single sentences written for my first episode for this project. That includes three regular Acts and the Teaser Act. Which only leaves one Act and the Tag Act to do today before I start working on the second episode Treatment.
