Week 32: Form Florette - Spring's Arrival
As the days slowly to lengthen
the sun's rays begin to strengthen
reviving winter's frozen earth:
nature's new birth and spring's annual redemption.
Out of the warm soil green grass grows,
down from the mountains ice melt flows,
new births occur, wild flowers bloom
from nature's womb, and the northern hemisphere glows.
Rhyme Scheme: The first, second and fourth lines are all end-rhymed, and the eighth syllable of line four rhymes with the end of line three, as described and demonstrated in the link provided above.
Choices for the poets to make this week: Your poem can be about any topic.
