Thy name is my healing, O my God and remembrance of thee is my remedy.

*Idea* MY THOUGHTS

I worry too much. This viral insanity is creating lots of emotional problems for me and I haven't been feeling 100% due to other issues.

Treasure State

Too many
Rich to
Eat.
Are we that eager to
Suck on golden spoons? Is
Utopia just another
Restaurant?
Enter the Treasure State with care.
Dining there isn’t just sapphires on silver plates.

None so far today ... except to eat.

*Reading* READING

Finished reading "The Girl on the Boat" by a local writer, Danielle Lincoln Hanna. On to "Guardian of the Veil" by Gregory Spencer.

*AsteriskBr* QUOTE

"I listen to people" Arlene in Smoke Signals responding to why her fry bread is so good.

A scene from "Smoke Signals" (1993):

*CoffeeO* MY LIFE

I made fry bread with herbs de provence. I need to keep making it until I get it right.

Last night I felt feverish. My temp was 99.0; since 97.5 is my normal I took an aspirin and tried to sleep. This morning it was 97.0. I've been having problems with my teeth.

*Coffee* SENIOR CENTER and *CoffeeR* COFFEEHOUSE

Got a call from Kathi checking in on me. She said I should come down to the Senior Center to pick up a meal (quiche) but I declined because I have pork patties at home that need to be eaten. Bless her heart. *Angel* I bought Folger's coffee yesterday not realizing it wasn't instant. Just threw it into a pot to brew then strained it.

*Angry* O PINIONS!

I'm royally pissed with people pointing fingers and shaming and blaming the rich as if they created this inconvenience just to annoy us. Next they will be blaming China or Russia or ... gasp ... Hillary. Instead of merely spreading the hate, accept that a serious virus is among all-of-us. Plead with those in power to get their heads out of their asses and DO something about it.

I went grocery shopping yesterday. I go once per week. Only one stockboy had a mask (pink-purple, one his girlfriend had made for herself, fit him better; interesting with his strawberry blond hair). No one else did. Taiwan upped it's production of masks by early February. By mid-month they had enough for the entire country of 24 million. The US has had two months to respond and can't even provide enough for medical personnel. *Angry*

*Worry* WATT'S GNUS

"The tenant in apartment ... is experiencing symptoms similar to that of the coronavirus. He has not been tested. He is self-quarantining for the next couple weeks. He has a private bathroom. We will be checking in on him periodically." Part of the note under my door today.

*Bigsmile* BLOGVILLE DEUX

I responded to queenkissy yesterday:

"There's plenty of food and paper products in the US. They are just in everyone's pantry instead of on the store shelves. Borrow from a neighbor?

I've been following this situation since it became common knowledge in Taiwan in January. They were concerned because SARS in 2003 caused so much damage there.

Americans just ignored it. By early February I had masks, by mid-February I didn't go out without one. Different culture, different response.

The problem with hospital beds is the same as with consumer goods in the US. There's enough of both ... if life goes on as normal. People eat. People get sick. But normally they don't do it all-at-once. This virus is a lot of people getting sick all-at-once ... everywhere.

Montana is a bit behind the curve. 184 positive in a state of 1 million. 4 dead. But while some places have no verified positives, Bozeman is reeling with 69 cases. Plus they have been rationing testing kits. I have a friend who has been severely ill. Can't get tested. [update 227 positive, 5 dead; 85 in Bozeman]

So ... yeah ... a bit of panic during this calm before the storm."
