When I See the Empty Tomb

When I see the empty tomb,
I think about the life You raised,
the sins and mistakes You erased,
knowing the love may never be returned.

When I see the empty tomb,
I think about the grace You give,
each and every day;
all it takes is for us to ask.

When I see the empty tomb,
I am thankful You saw my worth,
while I was still lost in destruction.
for you, I am grateful.

When I see the empty tomb,
I am in awe and wonder
at how You saw my beauty
when I couldn’t see past the ashes.

When I see the empty tomb,
I thank You for the hope I now have;
the boundless and reckless love,
all sealed in the life You gave.
