No Child for You

No Child for You

She’s twenty-four and barren,
But she’s filled with all that caring.
She longed to hold a baby
One that she could call her own.
On Holidays she fought the tears,
As she watched all the families cheer.
She wanted to teach the children well
But for her, there was nothing but hell.

A few decades flew on by,
Her beauty faded
and her dream died.
But then came her sister’s children
They changed her broken heart to a grin.
As she saw those children at play,
She knew the Lord had given her a new day.
So she gave her life to the living God
And she knew her life had been a fraud.
Because she thought wrongly that her life was through
She did not think of how God gave His Son for me and you.
