The Scent of Roses and The Nightingale's Song

In the garden of thy heart plant naught but the rose of love, and from the nightingale of affection and desire loosen not thy hold. Treasure the companionship of the righteous and eschew all fellowship with the ungodly."

The Scent of Roses

I know the Lord is with me
Standing right beside me
For I detect the scent of roses in the air
Unseen by the eyes of matter
He stands beside my chair
Releasing the scent of love into the air.

The Nightingale's Song
The voice of the Nightingale
Echoes the song of spring
For resurrection.

Nesting in the Tree of Life,
The Nightingale sings
Announcing the Lord's return.

The Nightingale's song
Summons the dread from their tombs,
Raises the faithful to life.
