I Think That I Know Why

Most of what didn't happen yesterday at work is my fault. But it’s not completely, though. Work and the weather were also the reason why didn’t get more writing written on the movie Scene Outline for my Water Wars scriptwriting project. What am I trying to confess to this time? I’m trying to admit that what didn’t happen yesterday at work is because of me.

No, I didn’t get another split shift at work yesterday. It’s worse than that. It was because of work itself. Work was extremely busy. One of the busiest Fridays that I have seen in a long time. If it wasn’t the busiest ones. I can’t remember one that was that busy. But that doesn’t mean that there hasn’t been any.

The weather was very hard on me too. It was extremely hot yesterday at work. I don’t think that it was the hottest day. But it was probably a close second. As for the Heat Index, it may have been the hottest despite how hot it was. At least that’s the way it felt to me.

Between how busy it was and how hot it turned out to be is the reason why I think it’s slightly their fault I didn’t get more writing written. Especially, since I spent most of my shift out in that heat with a long-sleeved shirt on. Even inside the post was a factor too. The Air Condition works now. But it’s barely working. As a result, a fan on high is needed. And that doesn’t help too much.

With all that going on against me, why do I think it’s my fault mostly? It’s because I still had plenty of time to get some writing done. And I did get a few more paragraphs done. But it wasn’t as many as I should have gotten written. That is why I blame myself for what didn’t happen yesterday at work. Because I am to blame.

I had a lot of trouble concentrating on writing yesterday. True, I think that the heat weakened me a whole lot had something to do with it. And my asthma too. But I think my lack of concentration was the main reason why I didn’t get too much writing done. Especially, when it comes to my asthma. After all, I have had a problem with that almost daily. In fact, I have been having that problem like that for the last several centuries. And it’s even worse during the summer months.

The weather is supposed to start going down today. I don’t know if that will help me to write more or not. But I think that it might. It can’t get too much worse than it has the last few days. Of course, today is Saturday. So, it should get better with my writing. But after what has happened to me this week so far, I’m not going to count on anything until it happens.
