The Bird Whisperer By Lisa Noe She handled it with very much care The little bird had fallen from the nest The others were killed but it lived She scooped it up in her hands And pet it upon the naked head Its feathers had not yet grown in Still a young delicate little robin She placed it in a cage Feeding it hourly by hand It looked at her with trust She nursed him to health One Day she let him go free But he came back after flying in a tree He pecked her toes with his beak Attracted by the red color on her nails Again she let him go, yet he returned Six times she let the Robin go free Each time he came back to her Finally, he flew away A sad yet happy day. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Lisa Noe ![]() ~~Image #6000 Sharing Restricted~~ |
