Musicals
Musicals

My eldest brother who died a little over seven and a half years ago was a Blues musician. He was well known in the Kansas City, MO area. And he had a very big following that was overseas. About three thousand I think it was. A few days ago, my other brother found a hard drive that contains a whole lot of his songs.

Yesterday at work I watched High School Musical. And that got me to thinking about writing a musical of my own. There is only one big problem with that. I can’t sing. True, I could come up with a storyline. And maybe even the song titles. But I couldn’t write the songs. Then we found this hard drive. So, now I can do it.

I have always wanted to try to write a musical. Not for the stage, but for the movies. But I never gave it too much thought because I can’t sing. And I know it. Now I can write one. But my eldest brother isn’t the only way to write one. On my way home from work yesterday, I realized that I could have written one since he died. After all, we do have a lyric category on WDC. It means corroboration and someone(s) willing to do it with me. But it can be done.

Why am I writing about my eldest brother? Is it because I have given up on Water Wars or The Problems with Death? The answer to the second question in this paragraph is no. I haven’t decided to abandon either one of them. As for the first question, it’s because I didn’t get any writing done on my Water Wars scriptwriting project yesterday at work.

In fact, I didn’t even take my writing supplies with me to work yesterday. That’s because I had another split shift. Only this time it was the first half at my old post. And the second half at my regular post. I figured that I wouldn’t get too much written in my old post. If I got anything at all written. Unfortunately, I was right about that. It was that busy during the first four hours.

It was extremely, extremely busy at work yesterday during the first four hours. But it was very normal for the second half of my shift. I may have written a few single paragraphs for my movie Scene Outline during that second half. If I felt like doing it. But I didn’t feel like it. I didn’t think that I would. That’s why I didn’t take my writing supplies with me.

Today, as far as I know, I am going back to working at my normal post. If so, I will continue working on this project. I’m not sure how many single paragraphs I will get written today. But I’m hoping it’s a lot. After all, it is a Sunday. And it’s usually not too busy on a Sunday. It’s typically slightly busier than a Saturday. But it’s usually isn’t that much busier.
