Grey Days on The Horizon

Assignment: Now it’s time to light the fuse and let your imagination explode into a cataclysm of color. Write about some color that impresses you, either favorably or unfavorably. Since this is a creativity exercise, give your imagination free rein to interpret “color” either literally (red, blue, hot pink) or figuratively (the color of pain, joy, anger). Whatever strikes your spark.

Grey Days on The Horizon
By Lisa Noe

Right now I am blue, sad as can be,
Because my true love is far from me.

He had to leave, he had no choice,
They took everything, even his voice.

Someone lied about an incident,
When they lied, they knew what that meant.

I am red with anger because they lied,
Now she needs to go run and hide.

It's something that makes me green in the face,
I’m sick to death. She needs to be put in her place.

I cry every night because he is gone away,
Now my days are all so grey.
