asking about birthdays.

Tell us about a memorable birthday.

I never thought I would live to see thirty. On my thirtieth birthday my wife and I had the party of a lifetime. It was summer for I was born in June. We had a barbecue and invited anyone who wanted to come. I think my wife even invited strangers. She had been so worried I would die because I expected to do so.

Proverbs: 3:5-6

5) Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thine own understanding.

6) In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths.

What do these verses mean to you?

Blog City image small Prompt: In an interview, Norwegian author Karl Ove Knausgaard, who wrote the six-volume autobiographical novel My Struggle and many others, said, “I don’t really pay much attention to the world. I’m not very present. I’m detached from almost everything. I’m very occupied with myself and my own mind. I’m not in connection with the world—but in writing, I can be.”
What do you think? If writers are attached to writing, how can they write if they are detached from the world?

I am always a little detached from the world. I don't know why. I have to practice active listening to be more observant.
