The Last Couple of Days Off
The Last Couple of Days Off

It has been very bad the last couple of days for me. And I’m not writing about the weather either. Even though it has been very bad for the last two days too. No, I’m writing about my second scriptwriting project, The Problems with Death. And the unfortunate fact that I haven’t gotten anything written on it since my last two days off.

Unfortunately, I’m not too surprised that I haven’t gotten anything written on this project. Except for last week, I haven’t gotten too much written for about a month. If it’s only been that long. I wouldn’t be surprised if it has been a little longer than that.

Maybe I did write a few single paragraphs here and there. I can’t remember without looking up my past logs for Mondays and Tuesdays. And I don’t have the time to do that right now. whether I did any or not it doesn’t really matter. If I did write any, it wasn’t that many of them. About five to ten over the last month. And it’s probably closer to five.

Why haven’t I gotten any writing done yesterday or today on this project? What is my normal reason for not doing any writing? That’s right. It’s work. That usually only applies to when I’m working. It doesn’t during my days off. But this time it does. At least it does for today.

Work is the reason I haven’t gotten anything written today on this project. I had to get my Guard Card renewed today. And it has taken me most of the day to do it. It all started very early this morning when I had to go a million miles away from home to get the paperwork to get it. Then I had to drive almost that far back to the police station.

It shouldn’t have taken that long to do at either place. And normally it doesn’t. But this year it did. Of course, part of the reason is the weather. It’s not the only one, though. The Coronavirus is the main one. Especially, when it comes to getting my Guard Card.

I had to wait a lot longer at both places than I normally do because of this virus. That’s why it has taken almost the whole day to get what needed to be done today. Yesterday, it was the typical thing that my brother and I needed to do. But today it was because of work. That’s why I blame work for not getting any writing done today so far.

Will I get any writing done after I finish writing and then posting this blog entry? That’s what I plan on doing. Even a few is better than none. And as far as I know, my brother and I don’t have anything that needs to be done the rest of today. But I could be wrong about that. It wouldn’t be the first or last time that has happened.
