Busted!
She was high on writing for two months now.

Every morning at 5 a.m., she stumbled out of bed to write her daily blog and went to sleep again for two hours. A writer has to have shut-eye sometimes, hasn’t she?

24/7, she was up and about, reading, reviewing, writing stories, and the occasional poem. She was working relentlessly and enjoying herself tremendously.

Until she got a visit. From the Police!

Answering her intercom, she was surprised to see law enforcement running up the stairs in her staircase.

“What's up, gents?” she asked jokingly. “Nothing terrible, I hope. Did someone lose a kitten or a parakeet?”

“M’am, this is no laughing matter. Are you Wies Blaize, born July 28th” – and they named her birth year – “in The Hague?” His voice was deep and somber.

No messing around with this one.

“Yes, I am,” she said with a surprised smile. “What’s the matter, officers. Can I help you?”

“Yes, you can. You are under arrest!. We are obliged to take you into custody. Please, get your coat and belongings and come with us.”

She couldn’t believe her ears. “What did I do? What is this? You can’t just take me!”

He took out his notebook and proclaimed in a grave voice, “You violated the Random Act of 1998 several times. Our Internet Intelligent Squad has proof your browsing history contained the phrases: ‘How to overthrow the government,’ ‘15 ways of using arsenic and get away with it’, and ‘Spreading the virus randomly in a supermarket.’ “

“That’s the most stupid thing I ever heard,” she said angrily.

“You see, I’m writing a book!”
