Action, adventure, a little romance and a twist. What more could you want? R&R Please! |
In the Ce'l Empire, there are children stories of men and women born with the ability to manipulate the forces around them and who have superhuman qualities. These Slayers are the heroes and heroines chosen by the Gods to fight the demons that plague the lands. But are these just fictitious stories? For Sergeant John Wyden of the Vanguard, he is about to find out just what is truly fiction, and what is real. ryc P.S. After you are done raiding this little project, head over to these two items! "Reader's Wall" "Special Thanks" *****NEWS***** 5/6/2007 @ 3:56 PM A few months later... Still working on that second story that I mentioned a while back. I've been checking in the site about once a week but haven't gotten to any edits/new chapters to the existing books. Don't know if I will get back into this this month or next (or next), but I will get back into it. I do know that I'll be redoing much of the second book and possibly a number of parts in the first book. A lot of technicalities that weren't addressed before and minor timeline problems. But, mostly, it's the story itself that needs attention too. Between work and life in general, haven't had the time of day for my hobbies. I'll try and post again when I start with either redoing my books or starting a new one.... tentatively mark me for brainstorming. ryc 2/18/2007 @ 8:35PM Well I did a run through on chapter 1. Haven't uploaded the edits yet but will probably sometime this week. Due to work, my only free time is on the weekends... but hopefully I'll get to them before then. ryc 2/17/2007 @ 9:39 AM Hey! It was only a few days. Imagine that. Well thanks to Ariadne, I now have that itch to pick up the metaphoric pen and start butchering this book again. But then there is that thing about The Hunter, and wanting to finish it. I'll try to do one chapter here AND one chapter there a week. I don't know how that will effect my mindset since the character(s) matured between books... but I think I can manage it. ryc 2/14/07 @ 2:43 PM Almost 2 months later... Yup, notta. I think I'll be finishing the Hunter first. Actually my road map: The Hunter (finish draft), revise The Slayer once, and then either start on the third book or one of the three story lines I've been juggling around in my head (ala, new series) Will post again in probably a few months (laughs). ryc 12/24/06 @ 2:27 PM So haven't updated The Slayer in a while. I've been over at The Hunter editing and adding chapters. I will hopefully get around to re-reading/making notes on all the changes I want done for the Slayer these next few days. My goal is to make the flow better and better character development/story telling in general. Trying to make it more like The Hunter right now... you could say I've learned from my mistakes a bit. OK, probably like ch3 and onward of the Hunter. Have yet to fix those few beginning chapters That said, expect a number of edits coming soon to The Slayer. Possibly thinking about a series/book title change but that's at the back of my head right now. Hopefully will have some serious editing done in the next couple of weeks. Special thanks to Ariadne for all the great edits and making sure I still haven't forgotten about the story. ryc 12/8/06 @ 5:39 PM YAY! If you haven't heard, I'm going to graduate. Tomorrow is the ceremony actually. Work was nice enough to tell me I can have a few days off so I have a long weekend--which means I get to spend some time on my favorite (and only) completed book. Hopefully I'll get aroudn to some of those changes I keep saying I'll be making. But first things first. Must write up a chapter in The Hunter. ryc |
