This journal’s goal is not to chronicle the vagaries of daily life, but to record those moments when the greater passions of existence touch the mundane moments of life. As a child, I was inspired by the Romantic poets. I read their journals, and I found in them not mere records of activities but instead deeper musings on existence and on the world around us.
Magic...SIGH...I need to look for it more often. You seem to see it so readily, but I struggle to find it. I guess I find my magic in you...but that's not my own is it?
Wow. What a great thing to have happen outside your own window. I've only watched a nest once and since I had a small child i didn't get to watch as much or as closely as I wished. But I remember watching my fish tanks, mezmerized for hours. I think you should really continue with this thread of journaling for as long as you can. You may end up with a wonderful item for publication!
Truly this is a great piece of descriptive writing that touched my heart with natures' beauty. Your words made me see and feel your morning's magical moment. It also fits perfectly with the written purpose in your blog description. Thank you for sharing... Steve.
Hi Morena, this is my first visit to your blog and even though it has only two entries, I can see right now that your writing will be a force here on WDC.
I love the imagery you have used in both these entries; you paint a very vivid word picture. Thank you for a very enjoyable read and I look forward to reading many, many more.
