This is my first blog entry. I decided to try entering my thoughts on an online journal. I guess my first entry should be on how I reached this decision. I saw in the latest (well a couple of weeks ago) contests letter a piece about blogging. I checked out the blogs portion of the site and I was impressed. So many people sharing the intimate details of their lifes. I want to do my part.
This may not be the best blog entry, I know. But, I want to learn how to express myself better. I also want more people to get to know me on the site.
Today I plan on watching college football and reading during the commercials with the mute button on :). I may check some more of my e-mails and read some more online stories and try and comment on them. I try reviewing everything i read. I admit sometimes I read something and dont review it. Other times I am afraid I write a pretty crappy review. But noone has commented so far.
I never liked the separation between churches. It seems like they are generally the same but each also has their own versions of what that entails.
I was raised christian though. I don't know everything there is to know.but I also don't think any human alive does either.
God things are good things. We're human and living in this world amoung the wonderful things but also heartbreaking and tragic things. And often we wonder why.
I'm pretty sure we will know some day, maybe not now. I can understand that people are impatient and want to fully understand whatever there is to know.
So true. It seems like it's always about money. I stopped buying computers when they changed it so you could wipe your own drive and reload it without them. You use to get a disc that did all if that. Now they make it so and this is just my thoughts-- they can plant a virus to develope and then you have to pay lots of money to fix the problem, which never really goes away as there's always a new version.
I'm not sure you know but your first post was repeated.
This is my first time reading your blog.
Not having diabetes is a great thing. I bet you feel a lot better. It's what I'm working toward too.
As for sharing the details, you're right. Sometimes I wonder if I share too much. But anyone not liking what I share can stop reading. I am who I am, you know. I like who I am, yet I'm not perfect either. I make a choice I'm not so fond of, and then rechoose if possible.
As far as planning ahead with your writing... I admire those who can do it. I find if I "plan" a piece, then I have the feeling that I have already written it and lose interest!
I prefer the excitement (and fear) of not knowing where it's going.
{entry#1180282}hmm blogging is an insight to another's mind I perfer keeping a journal. It's more personal but each person has their own of expressing themselves. Good luck! writingmom
I am sure I will. I have limited my involvement just to sorting emails in folders now for the past several years. It's simply a matter of time. I am too wiped out during the work week to get too involved here. The week-ends are devoted to reading, reading and more reading plus tons of game-playing on my lap-top.
So it's hard to find the time to do what I want to do on here which is mainly reviewing the works of others... in order to write a decent, strong review, you have to take the time to read what you're reviewing thoroughly... time which I just don't have or I guess don't choose to spend.
I work in accounting so I am always at my desk. It makes it more convenient but not necessarily easier. My office is so busy around the clock that nobody really pays attention to what people do as long as they get their work done so I can sneak in writing throughout my day without anyone really caring.
Still the addition of writing and work leaves me pretty wiped out at the end of the day. Especially when I strive to live through my characters, to become then, every single time I enter a line or sentence. It is not an easy transition to make from one character about to face a deadly monster, a dragon in this case, to me who's about to face a perhaps deadlier challenge... a tax return and back again... throughout the day....
At least you get a summer :) There is no summer for me....
