Peace

Of course I want world peace
But I mostly pray for personal peace
for my soul, my family, my friends.
I build my altars
to the Old Gold Woman,
Madonna of the Flowers,
Kwan Yin, Durga, Mother Earth.
Here every molecule spins ecstasy
and every fugitive desire bears fruit,
and we know the better angels of our being.
Here, our hearts are a confluence
of a thousand wild roses.
