I remember hearing about the couple who owned Macy's I think. They were in their 60s I believe and she wouldn't leave without him and he wouldn't leave. So sad.

Yup, the Garden of Eden didn't end well, but only because our kind fell under the spell and/or advice of the wrong one.
Like you, I love roses, too, and a lot. When we had a much larger property, once upon a time, I had a rose garden in it. Once, on one rose bush, I grafted five different kinds of roses and they all bloomed for a season or two, but later on, the too-harsh winters of the North did away with that bush. At least, I have the memory of it, now.

It is very difficult when a loved one passes on. I think you are doing a good job of handling this by allowing yourself time to heal.

Megan. Even though you'll always remember your mother, you'll adjust to living with this grief, eventually.

Val Kilmer

Val Kilmer. He died and it is sad. He was a wise butt in Top Gun. He was arrogant. You enjoyed his character. I loved him in Maverick and The Jim Morrison Story . I liked the Doors.

I didn't care for him as Batman. My favorites are Adam West, Christian Bale and Robert Pattinson.

Val Kilmer was handsome. I liked him in Willow.

I think Top Gun was his signature movie. This is how I will remember him best. Rest in peace, Val.

Another Day

My son, his wife, my cousin and I are cleaning out Mom's house. I still find treasures. A ceramic Elvis bust. Some books. A crystal cake plate and jewelry.

Going to rain today. Maybe storms.

I am staying home today. Things to do.

My cousin ordered a new Jane Austen Encyclopedia for me. All about Jane Austen. My favorite.

April Fools

April 1, 2024. April Fools Day. SincebI don't work anymore, April Fools Day jokes no longer happens to me. I feel clean jokes are alright. Some serious things happen on April Fools Day.

It is another day. Be nice to others. Go visit a friend. Take flowers or have a nice lunch. Don't play any jokes on anyone. Have a productive day. Leave April Fools Day to the politicians. Those are the April Fools.
