Enga mellom fjella: where from across the meadow, poems sing from mountains and molehills.

Sentinel

         Marked
                   as if you own me
I bow before the Bitterroots
and just like you
my rocky soil, my withered grass
lays prey to the empty sky.

Myth Judith wuvs me; this I know.
Her witchy friends on me bestow...
this ground beneath my feet where grow,
thin tendrils reaching towards my core,
their raventh croaking: nevermore.

So doth I now forsooth proclaim:
I never can pronounth your name.
