I think Google has lots its roots and chose greed instead of maintaining integrity. And I hate that Ai jumps into every search I do. It's frustrating.

I remember those days of juggling entertaining with kids sleep schedules, I agree they were challenging.

I have only subscribed to Netflix on the rare occasion they have the show I want to watch. I don't watch a whole lot of TV. I mainly watch YouTube, for how-tos and occasional updates from people I like. I did have a lot of friends who subscribed to the DVD version of Netflix when we were in college. It's so interesting how far things have come.

It does seem rather silly for Ms. Bergman to get called out for the affair and not her affair partner also. I have to agree that it's pretty tame compared to many in Hollywood today, and no one is calling them out on the Senate floor anymore. In fact, the adulterers may inhabit the Oval Office with little to no consequence. But that's none of my business.

I'd write to my MIL who passed right after the pandemic also. She never got the chance to meet my newest little one and it hurts my heart every time I think about it. I'd want her to know all the things my baby is doing and how much she's growing.

I couldn't find anything Rossellini being reprimanded by the senate either. Bergman did not deserve the humiliation, all affairs take two.

Lots of content here, Jeff.

#1 - my husband subscribed when it was just a DVD service. He's now into streaming the platform and if anything, I would give Netflix for reinventing themselves and keeping themselves relevant in the social zeitgeist.

#2 - Ingrid Bergman? I would have never guessed. Heck, that's the normal for Hollywood these days. Few marriages really last in that community.

#3 - I would probably write it to my maternal grandmother.

Yes, good point! There is a difference between big and small regrets.
As to ice-cream, coffee ice-cream or sherbet is my favorite, although I won't say no, to any other stuff you mentioned.

I agree a warm brownie with ice cream melting across the decadent chocolate is so good.

I think we all wish we'd been more patient with our kids in the moment.

Ice Cream Dessert? What about a Banana Split? Haven't had one in years but the memory sure tastes good.

Regrets? Nope. Those choices were the best I could do at the time. Look forward, not backward.

I never discuss religion. Well, my Sister is a minister so on the rare occasions I see her, I do

but not by choice.

Strings

In general, I find stringed instruments (especially the cello) very inspiring. I particularly love instrumental string covers of popular songs, and when popular songs feature string solos. One of my all-time favorites is from Paula Abdul's song "Rush Rush" from 1991. It starts around 3:05 here:

I remember listening to this song on repeat (and even skipping back several seconds to listen to the strings piece itself multiple times) because it just has so much emotion in it. This was my go-to sad song when I was a teenager and just wanted to be sad for a while. I think strings are a beautiful way of musically communicating an incredible breadth of feelings.
