I have a dream of becoming a proffesional writer. I am always working on something, even if it's just journal entries. However, my stories are usually half finished, and then I get writers block. Sometimes I force myself to write anyway, but my stories look forced. Maybe I'm too critical of myself, or my writing. My heart's desire right now is to finish a few pieces for my contest entries. I did enter a contest for an October deadline, but the spacing and spelling were garbage. But at least I finished writing something. Little by little. I am looking forward to enter the writer's digest short story contest. But, I have to be very careful withmy entry. It cost 12 dollars to enter. I have to make sure it's at least technically perfect. Less than that goes straight to the trash pile. The prize is 3,000 dollars. I hope I'll win one someday soon.
I have no other career prospects. Being on SSDI sucks. Don't get me wrong, I am thankful for what they give me. I just have dreams of overcoming my handicap. Wish me luck, no..wish me diligence.
You sound like a person who is all work and no play! Thought I would send a smile and perhaps a suggestion. Maybe if you write the ending first It might be easier to finish some of your works. Good luck!
Good gracious, it's less than three weeks until Christmas. May as well wait till after the crazy season before you get serious
First tip...don't call it dieting. Psychologically, if our brain thinks we're having to give something up, it will resist. Proven fact. Call it making a life choice to be happier and healthier, because that's what it is. Think beautiful, positive thoughts!
