Chapter 3

"What are you going to do to them Gwen?" Looking over at Steve, Gwenivere smirked while she continued to work. Her hands moved chemical bottles of green and red colors, placing each one carefully in a glass display. "Don't worry about it Steven, They know how to defend themselves," She smiled. "This isn't right at all we came out here to rescue you!" Steve stood crossed armed along a white wall, a circular room filled with what looked like a chemistry lab. Cabinets of vials and microscopes filled the opposite wall of Steve and with Gwen was a line of computers, all with different files popped up on their screen. "Of course you did, but no one knows they will become a hostage, we would've been cleverer." Gwen gave a weak clearing of her throat, her fist tightening up. "I..." Gwenivere stopped what she was doing as a clatter hit the bottom of the sink. Steve watched her intently, his gaze never leaving her bright eyes. She stepped in front of him and scratched her temple unnervingly, "It wasn't my idea." Steve gave her a cold and confused look as she whispered in his ear, "She has threatened my life if I didn't help her." With that Gwen leaned over and placed her body against the wall next to him. Steve stood in awe, finally looking over at Gwen banging her head against the wall softly.
Scoffing, Steve turns to look at her with a disgusted face, "So you're risking our lives for your safety, that's pretty pathetic." Gwen sighed, "You should be thankful, I was suppose to get that new girl instead."
"THANKFUL?! You shouldn't have taken anyone at all! Why should I be thankful for being kidnapped?" Now Steve was flailing his arms about, gesturing to himself and outside. "How could you...." Steven stared at her through his hair. Gwen sighed and hovered above the ground, she gently caressed his hair out of his face, holding his chin up. "I miss you all terribly, no matter how hard I fought her to get away I couldn't. Look," She rolled her right sleeve up, revealing cuts and bruises along her wrist. "She had beaten you?" Gwenivere rolled her sleeve back and acted shy, bringing her head down into her own chest. "That's one way to put it, yes" Hovering over to the other-side of the room, Gwen placed her hands upon the counter-tops.
"What are the others doing right now?" Steve slowly moved over to Gwen. "They are retrieving a shipment of very rare and very illegal, magic. I'm not sure what its going to be used for, who knows at this point anything’s for certain." Steve watched Gwen rose into the air, "Along the way...." she paused to look down at Steve.”They will have to defeat unimaginable creatures of the night." Steve looked up at her in rage, "HEY! Don’t blame me for this I'm trying to help you not die!" Both of them huffed, their body suits gleamed in the light, standing out from everything in the room. Steve's cloak had given away lying on the floor. Gwen rubbed her eyes, "I just want this all to end, too long have I sat through the torture being here. I’ve hardly eaten and yet I have enough strength to wait for all this to end..." Dropping instantly, Gwen fell to her feet tucking in her knees to her chest and crying. She didn't notice Steve draping his cloak over her shoulders, he sat in front of her holding her knees tightly as to never let go. "We love you so much Gwenny, nothing can ever change that." Giving her a smile, Steve bent his head down
