When I was in Detox for xanax addiction, I used the time to quit smoking as well as drinking. I've been clean and not smoked for 12 years! If it wasn't for being Bipolar with ADHD, everything would be perfect. It never is anyway. Good luck with the smoking. I smoked for 40 years and I kicked the habit. Still I've been told it's easier to quit heroin.

I am so glad you are talking some 'me' time. I wish you could take a couple days off of work and could afford to go and either see Diane's daughter on her turf or bring her to yours. I think that is awesome she graduated early!
Lots of love Have fun!
Ah, we will plod along until you return, my friend.
Some folk say no one is indispensible--bunk, I say. Good friends miss friends when they're gone ... for even a short while. Just come back refreshed, Miss Kristi.
I remember driving through Texas and Oklahoma a few years ago when we moved across country by Uhaul. It was snowing and the roads were a mess and the people were freaked. they were so not used to snow. It was scary and a little funny at the same time. It was not a terrible amount of snow, but it freaked them all out. I remember when it snowed in the valley in Cali. everyone was freaked and happy...none of it stuck
I am actually not making fun of you or even giggling when I say this...so know that!
when there are people starving in Ethiopia, we have no business with petty drama. It is easy to get sucked into the crap, easy to feel hurt or slighted by something so very minor in the broad spectrum of pain and hurt on this planet...
You know, chad does not think I will ever do it. But i want to be a missionary for a short time. I heard you can sign up for the peace corps and be used to serve others. I will be looking into it. i know he will miss me if I do it before kat graduates....perhaps we can wait until she does graduate and then do it together.
I think sometimes we need to really think how good we have it and how few our real worries really are and just spread love.
No one is innocent of failing to remember things that are really important from time to time. I am searching for an acceptance of myself, searching for a pure love that emits its light on ALL...I have so much work to do.
I chewed on cinnamon toothpicks. The last time I TRIED to quit I could not find the dang things anywhere. They were perfect and i would chew those boogers to the pulp. They helped. I ran from gas station to gas station and finally found one that would order me a case and then they found out they were not offered to them anymore.
Chad has been trying to quit and he is taking chantix (a med). it totally is not worth it to smoke because the receptors are blocked but he still does....nowhere near what he did though. you MAY want to look into that, but it is expensive...and make you have weird dreams but i know tons of people that have used that and quit. i also know many who have cold turkey-ed it and have succeeded. You can do it, if you really, really want it!
I know she left before and you were so happy when she came back. I am sad that she deleted her account. i am so glad though that the bond you two have will never be JUST about this site. I wish her much success on her new book. (((huge mental hugz)))
