In StorySelling, Telling and Selling Your Brand Story, Jim Signorelli, founder and CEO of ESW Partners, a full-service advertising agency in Chicago, takes you on a journey exploring the deep connection between branding and storytelling. By the end of the book, you’ll arrive at a place where you can use storytelling methods to better define your brand, more creatively engage your audiences and compel your customers to buy.

In this book, Jim offers a new approach to organizing creative input that goes well beyond the traditional creative brief. Called Story Mapping, this method can help ad agency creative teams better achieve empathy with target audiences – much the same way storytellers help audiences identify with their characters. Story Mapping will also help brand planners identify their brand’s plot and theme in order to better communicate and frame the brand’s position internally and with target prospects.

Besides being a book that offers an innovative approach to brand planning, it’s a fun read. It’s thoroughly researched, but practical instead of academic. In his down-to-earth style, Jim provides insights and examples through stories from his own life and times, including his colorful career in the advertising agency business.

StorySelling, Telling and Selling Your Brand Story will be published later this year. Leading up to the publication date, chapters will appear on this website for the purpose of soliciting comments and feedback. So come back often and please feel free to leave your comments.
