"I have come to the conclusion that we must not expect too much from life. We must give to life at least as much as we receive from it. Every moment one lives is different from the next. The good, the bad, the hardship, the joy, the tragedy, love and happiness are all interwoven into one single indescribable whole that is called LIFE. You cannot separate the good from the bad. And, perhaps there is no need to do so either."

Sorry for being late on a comment. Have no idea how I missed this and just found it reading the next.
You may have already figured it out about the review; but if you didn't, your entry is a perfect review that anyone would understand. I myself have started to do "reviews" in detail, but I don't send them. I do a summary of what I've found and look at how best to encourage the writer in the right direction. Then I also offer to send a more detailed markup. Just remember that each item you point out needs an explanation of why. That often makes me rethink it myself and sometimes realize that it may not be that important or that it could be different style. Poems and prose can be interchangeable at times (unless your hardcore poetic language bible bearer).
I just wrote a looooong and pretty amazing comment that I'm sure you would have given a 5-star review, but when I clicked 'submit', my internet died and my comment along with it! I'm sure I could never create such a masterpiece again, so I'll just say this: Find a balance with your reviewing and keep the tone of your review encouraging, despite any criticisms within. I rarely review anymore, but from what I remember back when I did, people tend to post their work here, then sit around and wait for the slobbering praise. Be brief and to the point. Gentle but honest...and encouraging. Give the good parts equal billing...if there's any good to be had.
Bellbottoms are best worn with matching bellbottom briefs.
Thanks for the education. I never thought of Spain as glamorous or gorgeous; it sounds like Any City USA.
As to your first comment—I always spend money when the bank balances are low. In order to prevent this, I buy at least one or two books or DVD's before the splurge occurs.
Your "vacation" money was well spent, even if the timing was off.
Cheerful is not as important as real. A blog should be what you see and feel and not just weave around the truth to feel good. The way you wrote this gives us that feeling of knowing what it's really like. Life revealed. That's good communication.
Howdy/Hola from Montana. Good to see you, Jacqueline. Been a while.
"...affectionate but not drunk." Love that line.
Your time in Spain is exactly how I would want to experience a different country or culture if I traveled...which I never do. But I don't want to just see the safe cocoon of the traditional touristy sites. I want to see the REAL world of where I'm visiting. That takes time, of course, and fortunately you've had enough of that to see the big picture. I look forward to future entries of your discoveries.
I read this and hope that inspire of everything you are just having a moment of...self-pity or woe-is-me like the rest of us do from time to time. I certainly have mine.
You have so much going for you and wisdom I wish I'd had at your age. At times life seems overwhelming, and it is...but we need to get a kleenex, blow hard, and realize in 10 minutes it could all change, it is up to us.
Love you...going to the post office tomorrow...see, something good is going to happen. I'm really proud of all you have plowed through...keep it up!
