Welcome back! I truly know what you mean about everything you mentioned here. There are so many people that I knew who are no longer around, or have changed their names and I don't know what they are using now. When I came back after my long hiatus I had to start over as well.
I've slowly, but surely got my groove back. I'm sure you'll do the same. I also did as you did and went over my old writings and I had to come to terms that some of it was trash, lol. I believe I'm better now though. I hope you stick around for a while, but I know how life can get in the way. It's good to see you again.
I think this sums up being human rather nicely. We're a mess trying to do our own thing. Sometimes we need space and other times we want to interact to find out how hard that is.
I have to admit, reading your story was an eye opener for me because I was abused when I was 14 and at the age, I didn't know what love was. I was with this guy for about 1 1/2 years before I broke it off with him. I was always in constant fear of him and I knew if I said Hi to a guy, I would get his fist in my face which happened quite often but he would hit me on my arms and legs so I also had a knife against my throat when I was that young so I got out of the relationship and I had to before it was too late.
Now I'm happy and I have two kids but luckily, they never saw that. I'm happy you posted this up because there are so many women out there are in fear of their boyfriends or husbands too.
