So Lilithmoon☽ requested that I start a new activity in the member forum for the Storytellers group that entailed posting new interesting facts/articles to kind of generate conversation and inspire members to use these facts in future works on this website. Well, I can't say it would be fair to limit the trivia to just members of this group so I have created this journal for the rest of WDC to look at when they need something to help stir the pot or just out of pure curiosity (which is my ultimate motivation in life). Every post I make in the forum will also be posted here for viewing.
Indeed, well most modern medicine causes problems in other areas. You take medication for a chemical imbalance, and you then end up with severe weight gain. You can't lose the weight because the medication causes it, so they give you something else, which causes something else which they medicate you for, but then you end up with something else. Etc. Etc. Now all these new medications they advertise to treat have disclaimers. Not just side effects, but an umbrella disclaimer that covers long term effects like cancer because people are dropping like flies from "modern medicine." Truth is, medicine is a very finicky industry. Cancer treatments are still considered to be in their dark ages because the only real solutions we have is by pumping our systems with enough poison and hope that it kills the cancer before the chemicals or the cancer kill our bodies,
But, I know that there are thousands of books out there that involve holistic medicine to treat these types of things. However, I was watching a special on the Science channel that involved a gene mutation called Delta 32. They first discovered the gene mutation in hemophiliacs back in the 80s when they were getting dosed with Sector 8 or Section 8 something like that. Anyway, the doses were supposed to keep them from bumping their arm and bleeding to death. Downside was AIDS was just coming out and of course, AIDS patients had already long since been donators. So hemophiliacs really got the short end of the stick. They got to choose between instant death or CERTAIN death in 15 years from AIDS. One hemophiliac chose to get his medicine and accept his fate, but the scientists were stunned when time and time again, everyone else dosed from the same batch got AIDS and he remained uninfected. That's when they found the genetic mutation.
So a geneticist did quite a few years of research on the gene- his brother was a hemophiliac who died from AIDS- and was able to trace the genetic mutation all the way back to the last major epidemic of the plague in Europe. The last epidemic only wiped out 1/3 of the European population whereas the time before that, nearly 600 years earlier (I think), had wiped out well over 2/3 of the population. He was able to use all this information to develop new antibiotics for AIDS patients. It proved to be very successful and a hopeful study. From what he was saying the same genetic mutation can be used to fight cancer and other serious epidemics and infectious diseases we are fighting nowadays.
Pretty soon they will be getting rid of all these other forms of medications and just genetically alter us so we have things like this Delta 32 in our bodies fighting everything for us.
Now this is interesting. Science would say that these are annecdotal accounts and can't be trusted. Of course, it is never said what are we to do with information like this. Read your reference. Very interesting. Only 20% of modern medicine has been proven to be an effective cure. Medicine is still called a practice. There is partially an art form there. Why not put some of these folks on treatments like this while they enter hospice care? There is nothing to lose. Medicine over history has experimented with folks that were "beyond" help.
