Have a bone to pick? Something annoying you? Did you ever wonder where the phrase came from? According to a source on the Internet, it dates back to the 16th century. It refers to the concept of a dog who is chewing at his bone, picking it clean (I have a bone to pick). It references the phrase, in similarity, to another phrase, "bone of contention". That phrase goes back to the 1500s and implies that two people are arguing over the same issue. Or, in the case of a dog, two dogs fighting over the same bone.
Well, with that in mind, that is what I would like to do here. I don't necessarily want to argue but discuss issues that, I am sure, bug other people as well. I hope you will come along and join me and see what bones we can uncover.
Most kids have them and so do most adults these days. The kids even need them to use for school assignments in class. There are ways for parents to safe proof their phones, block porn sites etc. Of course these teens are up on technology and know how to hack their way around almost anything. Remember being that age and pulling stuff over on your parents? I was one of those rebellious ones that was always getting into something that I shouldn't. I still eventually became a decent law abiding citizen. I love the new technology and am excited for what the future will bring but parents still have to try to stay one step ahead of their kids. I am glad mine are grown with teenage children of their own. Have a great day!
Being labeled these days has caused more problems for most. I remember the days when 2 people would meet and just introduce themselves by their interests, job, martial status, where you come from, etc. You really didn't ever get into politics or religion. Now everyone seems to want to be tribal. Media doesn't help this. I hope this will get better soon because I worry about the divisions between us.
I don't want to return to the 1950's or 60's. We have made progress in so many things. I am trying to be optimistic about our future hoping we will find we all have more in common than differences. I think we need to celebrate the fact that we are part of the human race, appreciate the fact that we can think differently in the USA and that is OK.
Sorry. I'm having technical difficulties. Or user malfunction. Haha Anyway, I'd written something about L.A. traffic. Unfortunately. All three times it suddenly disappeared. But being the determined lass I am, I keep trying.
When you mentioned the equipped car I suddenly got a visual of a bubble-wrapped car. Haha
I get what you mean about some of these drivers. Its not just in one state. I life bed in Colorado before and I witnessed a driver going of o. The left turn lane across three more lanes to turn right. And that was in front if other cars.
The guy next car over looked at me and shook his head and said, "They must be California drivers."
Truth is I was headed back to California and I know that most normal people don't drive like that. Unfortunately the ones that do are still out there driving until they can't, because they lost their license or killed somebody in the process.
I don't usually talk about this but now I'm compelled to.
My son has autism and grand-mal seizures. That right there can kill him at any time that he has one, and he's had them often through the years. Hesfallen so many times I have to wonder what all this us doing to him internally.
Foods can bring it on. Stress too. Almost any kind of inmbalance can also.
We can't see inside our bodies to know exactly what's happening--long term problems, changes. etc.
And I do believe the vaccines given may have caused it. For one or two of the required school vaccines has mercury in it. Two shots given at once is way too much.
I had gotten flu shots before and pneumonia shot. But I got so sick afterward I didn't realise how sick I was. I could barely get out of my chair. Couldn't eat either. Things just got worse, not better.
I will not get the vaccine and I will not have my son get it either.
Here's a fact. People who get the vaccine can also be carriers.
The other fact is that the numbers presented have been bloated. So many people died from other flu down through at least the part 60-70 year. Yet nothing was flashed over the media and internet as was done this time.
Now if you say this is a different strain and much worse. Of course it's a different strain. Every new virus is different. Even computer viruses are changed each time.
Look at the symptoms and you will see what's considered covid related. These are things humans have had happen for many years, and yes, some people died.
Now some people might say this is merely propaganda.
That's some people's perspective and they have the right to express it. That's not my perspective or belief.
You can't just go putting a bone out in public without having it inspected and certified as pickable. Is it a bone that has been cooked? If it is, the issue would have to addressed by the FDA. If the bone is uncooked and to be disposed of as food preparation waste then, it must be examined at the local landfill, to see if it can be safely buried. If there is any possibility that it might be contaminated with covid-19 then, it must be shipped to CDC in Atlanta. (But, it will not be permitted to cross state lines by several of the intervening states.)
Alas, your bone will have to be disposed of in a hazardous waste facility such as that used for nuclear debris. The location of such places, however, is secret, so, you are stuck with it. And no picking. You might particles to be disbursed and contaminate the environment. Check with the EPA
Hello Redtowrite, once again, thanks for your response to my posting. Yes, I am aware that Dr. Bergman is a chiro doctor, but with the many problems I have had over the years with my body, I trust chiropractors, at least the ones I have gone to and still go to. That has not always been the case with some of the medical doctors I have gone to. Many, as Dr. Bergman, know more about nutrition than some medical doctors. I have not been to him personally (he practices out of California and I am in another state), but I would if I could. I watch his training video and other videos he does on the body's systems and I have learned a lot so I do not believe he is in it to just sell something. I know the medical profession, in general, does not like or approve of chiropractors but I do not believe they are given the proper acknowledgment.
I am sure you are truly dedicated to your profession and care truly about your patients. As far a any government entity such as the CDC or Dr. Fauci for that matter, I do not have that much trust. The statistics that are thrown about bother me. Fauci banters back and forth on what he believes is good for the country. Deborah Brix I would trust more as she seems to be more knowledgeable. As far as vaccines causing autism, well once again, this is coming from the CDC...sorry, I am not convenience that vaccines do not contribute to autism is some fashion.
I wear a mask as little as possible and do not plan to take a flu shot or become vaccinated for Covid-19 not because I am sure the don't work but that I am not sure they have been given proper testing and are affective. I am making my choice, which I hope I will be able to do as long as I am alive. I have a strong immune system, take care of myself as best as possible and do not wish to have my choice taken away from me. I respect others and ware a mask when appropriate.
As far as Covid-19, I believe it is serious but I do believe there are those who have stretched this out far past what is needed, taken advantage of its cause (not first responders, medical personnel) and I am sure you probably do not agree with me. But, more would need to be said on this.
Thank you for your contribution and I wish you the best.
Dr. John Bergman is a chiropractor so if you have a degenerative disc, I would think he might be someone to go to. He is not a MD and certainly not a virologist or public health specialist. He is not associated with the CDC, the NIH or any government run agency like the FDA that checks out vaccines. He is trying to sell 11 books and all kinds of supplements.
We have over 500,000 people dead from SARS 2 or Covid 19 and now there are variants. I am in the health field, was a school nurse besides working as an RN for 29 years. Vaccines save lives and I have given many. I know there are the occasional anaphylactic reactions that can cause hives, difficulty breathing and it is treated with Adrenaline and Benadryl IV or IM. After vaccines if you are going to have a severe reaction it occurs in the 1st 10 minutes. I have dealt with anaphylaxis to other drugs in the hospital and no one died. Although without intervention they would have but that has only happened a few times in a long career giving all types of medicine and blood products. With vaccines, chances are you might have a slight fever, sore arm and feel bad for a day or two. I have had my Covid #1 and am scheduled for #2 in a couple weeks-no problems. Personally I cannot take a tetanus shot because my temp goes to 104 and my whole arm swells. I get immune globulin instead. I am far more worried about people not getting this vaccine and others than about them getting what they need. It bothers me that people don't trust someone with Dr. Anthony Fauci's, Deborah Brix, Redfield of the CDC etc. credentials. There is no evidence that vaccines cause autism. Please wear a mask and get your vaccine when you can-people go into the health field because they care about others not to hurt them.
Have a wonderful day and stay safe.
