Write about a time where you overheard or saw something you weren't meant to. What was it, and - in retrospect - are you better off or worse off for having overheard/witnessed it?

*groan* I had ALMOST forgotten about this scarring part of my childhood, then the last part of this prompt jarred it.

Ok, so I was listening in on mom and dad talking over the phone. They were either newly divorced or recently separated so I was about 10 years old.

*sigh* ugh don't want to type this but....heard my mom tell my dad that she was.......feeling.....'randy'. *shudder*

adults get the idea,

honestly I still remember it from time to time but typing/thinking about it now just makes it feel sooooo much worse UGH!

I'm not 'better' cuz of it...but don't think I'm worse either, just....scarred.....so scarred......so very very scarred.....

Let that be a lesson, don't eavesdrop....on your parents.
